Yo!!! I came at the right time on the right day Greg the bartender gave great service. This food is really amazing. It's full of flavor and they got the right people in the kitchen the curry chicken, the vegetables. The chicken was tender no complaints for me.

My visit to Jerk Villa Bar & Grill located 2216 S Michigan Avenue on tonight April 16, 2024. On our way home from work, my cousin & I stopped by Jerk Villa Bar & Grill for dinner, our initial experience was extremely subpar & unacceptable! The male host was rude, inattentive, & very bothered! I can confirm he did NOT like his job! He gave short answers, never smiled, & gave a very as a matter of fact attitude our entire visit! He took our order in a very irritated way & remained attitude-ish & unprofessional. He not only lacked customer service skills, he lacks basic people skills understanding how to professionally interact with paying customers that pay his salary. No customers mean no business & no job! We get home, ready to eat dinner to find out that my order was wrong & my cousin's order had the worst presentation ever! We get back dressed & take the food back to the restaurant in an effort to share this experience with the manager on duty. I had spoken to a male manager earlier informing him of this employee & his unprofessional behavior & demeanor! We get back to the restaurant to find a female manager, Unique, that completely blew Us away with her professionalism, awesome customer service, ability to correct the problem, apologizing for what her employee did NOT do, taking ownership & accountability of what this employee had done, all while showing empathy to Us! Unique completely changed my mind because I was all set to never patronize this establishment ever again! I said that to her as well! Nevertheless, Unique's efforts saved the night & she now has 2 new customers that will be returning to support this business! While things definitely started off rocky, Unique's actions of active listening & correcting the orders that were messed up speaks volumes on her caring how her customer's experiences go & really showing great character with awesome leadership qualities that will keep her & the business thriving! She understands how important retaining customers are to your business that she personally went in back to ensure that this replacement order is done correctly! WOW! People are quick to point out the wrong that people do, as you should because NOT providing feedback to your employees does them a disservice & they will never correct issues that they don't know about because management has given no feedback, either through positive recognition or constructive feedback! I wanted to take the time to spread some positive energy & to give Unique a huge shout out of appreciation along with words of encouragement to keep being great!!! You have won Us over & you'll see Us soon! We will be returning customers! Kudos to you Unique for being a bright light tonight & turning our experience around from horrible to HAPPY & Satisfied!
